On November 13, 2019 at 4:17 PM, a deputy stopped a vehicle operated by Calvin Bratten for an equipment violation in the 100 block of Truitt Street in Salisbury.
During the stop, the deputy learned that Bratten’s privilege to drive had been suspended and the registration plates for Bratten’s vehicle belonged on another car.
A passenger in the vehicle, Daronte Jones, handed over marijuana to the deputy upon stepping from the vehicle.
Following a subsequent search of the vehicle, the deputy recovered what was identified as heroin along with four used syringes.
The deputy placed both Bratten and Jones under arrest and transported them to the Central Booking Unit where they were processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner.
Following an initial appearance, the Commissioner released both on Personal Recognizance.
